Brightly Beams our Father's Mercy

Last week this wonderful eldest son of ours had a birthday!
He was home a few days before his birthday, so we were able to sing to him and have a birthday cake (well, sort of on the cake...). But anyway, I love this picture of him laughing below!  We were singing his happy birthday song.  Joshua is an amazing young man, and we are so honored to be his parents, Bruce & I.  He got a 4.0 this semester at BYUI.  His Accounting Professor showed up in the restaurant that Josh works at and looked at him and announced to whoever was listening, "I just couldn't keep this guy down!  I really tried and he just kept getting hundreds!"  How awesome is that?  I think Josh finished with a 105% in the class.  In fact 4 out of the 6 men in their apartment got 4.0's.  Whaaat?  Who does that?  And had a great time to boot!
So Happy Birthday to Josh!!  We love you!

Mary and Becca hanging out on the same day.  Beautiful girls!
Two days after this picture was taken, Mary was rear-ended.  She was at a compete standstill, and the truck (pulling a trailer) hit her from behind going about 45-50 mph.
One of my friends from the soccer board years ago was an eyewitness to the whole thing.  She helped Mary get out of the car, and made sure she was OK, which she was.  She is going to need some long term chiropractic and massage care, but she didn't sustain any immediate injuries except this bruise, which she found more than a week later!
This is a miracle since she walked away without a single scratch, despite the fact that she saw glass flying past her head at the moment of impact.

We are SO grateful she is safe!
